Mount Vernon Optic-Herald

Mount Vernon Volunteer Fire Department members meet the 1st and 3rd Monday nights of the month, 6:30 p.m. The meetings are at the fire department building on Hwy. 37 at the intersection of Rutherford St. in Mount Vernon. Occasionally meetings are conducted at the countywide training facility.  Prospective members welcomed.
