Symphony performers to provide String Fest concert

Leading players from the Dallas Symphony Orchestra and a guest artist from Canada will join the Orchard Ensemble for storied music by Mozart and Beethoven in Mount Vernon Music’s “String Fest” at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 21 in The Music Hall.

Registration for the Franklin County Library’s Summer Reading Program is now open.“Building a Better World” is the theme of the program for children ages four through 12.

Wilkinson exhibit opens Friday

The opening of an exhibit of special selections from the collection of local art aficionado T. R. “Tom” Wilkinson, III will be marked by a reception, which is open to the public, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, May 5 at the Cultural Arts Center in Mount Vernon.

Kridler to present native landscaping program
