Big sale at CAC Saturday, other events in April

There are several events planned at the Cultural Arts Center during the month of April.The Franklin County Arts Alliance will have a big sale at the CAC this Saturday, April 9 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Professor Tele band to play at Blues Festival

If you are looking for a mouth watering, toe tapping good time, then the Alamo Mission Museum is the place to be. The ninth annual Chili and Blues event is this Saturday, April 9 on the museum’s grounds.

Friends to paint with a twist Saturday

The Friends of the Franklin County Library will be hosts for a Painting with a Twist party from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 26. The event will be at the Franklin County Multi-Purpose Building

Winners in the 2016 Franklin County Arts Alliance Butterfly Coloring Contest were recently announced. Students at Mount Vernon ISD’s elementary and intermediate campuses

Night in the Museum set for April 2

The Franklin County Historical Association is sponsoring a concert and “A Night in the Museum” on Saturday, April 2. There are six students from Mount Vernon Intermediate School who will be featured as historical characters.

Mary Lou and the Crew returns to Alamo festival

Christophor Hill and Mary Lou and the Crew will play from the stage at the Alamo Mission Museum’s annual music festival  Saturday, April 9. Mr. Hill performs as a one-man band playing “Kansas City flavored” Rhythm and Blues and a bit of Soul.
