Bankhead Highway Faces and Places video contest open

The Faces and Places of the Bankhead Highway video contest is free to enter and open to the public. As a part of the 100th anniversary of the highway, the Texas Historical Commission is encouraging the general public to submit video capturing experiences along the highway.

Good time on the square

Keitron Fountain, center, led the event playing the keyboard and singing. T.K. Film class set at arts center

Brad Maule will be teaching a film class for the Franklin County Arts Alliance from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 9. He will be covering information about being both in front of and behind the camera.

Pinhole, digital camera class set

A free teen and adult pinhole camera and digital photography class will be offered by the Franklin County Arts Alliance from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, July 16.
