Tamara and The Lost Tomorrows

Tamara Katamdze on violin, Jim Chase on guitar and bass, Lee McAtee on guitar, Scott Vaughan on bass and guitar, Hanna Vaughan on drums, Joe Mitchel on guitar and Josephine Mitchel vocalsIt was a toe tapping, hand clapping good time at the Old Hill Building last Saturday night with the eclectic mix of music by the group. Featured were Tamara Katamdze on violin, Jim Chase on guitar and bass, Lee McAtee on guitar, Scott Vaughan on bass and guitar, Hanna Vaughan on drums, Joe Mitchel on guitar and Josephine Mitchel vocals.

High school art, poetry event set

Students from the Mount Vernon High School art and English departments will be featured in an evening of art and poetry, Thursday, April 17. The program will take place at the Cultural Arts Center

Annual Key Club Bake-off and auction set at arts center

The 11th annual Spring Bake-Off and Auction, sponsored by the Key Club, will be Saturday, April 12 at the Cultural Arts Center. Items must be delivered to the CAC between 8:30 and 9 a.m.

Wine festival booths open to area arts, crafts vendors

Area artists and craftsmen are invited to reserve a booth for the Piney Woods Wine Festival in Mount Vernon Friday night and Saturday, May 16 and 17.

Music concert, Night at the Museum events announced

The Franklin County Historical Association is sponsoring a concert and “A Night at the Museum” on Saturday, April 12. The Jammin’ with Tamara and The Lost Tomorrows concert will be from 7 to 10 p.m.

History comes to life for Night at the Museum

Eight students from Mount Vernon Intermediate School’s fifth grade will be featured as historical characters for “A Night at the Museum.”  The event will be conducted from 5-7 p.m. Saturday, April 12 at the Old Depot Museum.

Mary Lou and the Crew will open Alamo festival

Mary Lou and the Crew will be the opening act at the Alamo Mission Museum’s seventh annual music festival  Saturday, April 12. The band has been playing together as a group for six years and their mix of blues and Texas Swing makes for a toe-tapping good time.

Guitarzza to headline Alamo Blues Festival
