Lounge lizards perform

Lounge lizards performThe Austin Lounge Lizards gave a rousing performance on Saturday, Aug. 28 at Mount Vernon Music’s Gala to open their 2010-11 season. More than 160 people packed the music hall for the event.

Music, art in consort

“Transfigured Night” will combine art and the romantic music of Austrian composer Arnold Schoenberg for a Sunday evening concert. “Plein Air in Venice” features St. John, Edwards, Rutherford

Sandra St. John, a local artist, and two art students, Annette Rutherford and Anne Edwards, will share their collection of  “plein air” studies done in Italy.
