Adler & Hearne to perform in historic Hill building downtown

“Adler & Hearne” will bring their musical talents to downtown Mount Vernon for a performance starting at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 21 in the Hill Building, next to the library.

Beatnik coffee house night planned at CAC

Members of the Franklin County Arts Alliance will be hosts for a Beatniks-Bongos-Brew and Fondue event on Saturday, March 7. The public is encouraged to attend and to dress in beatnik style. See the  February 26 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald for more details about this event.

The Joy of Strings concert Sunday

Mount Vernon Music will present the Wyeth String Quartet at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 1, in Mount Vernon Music Hall.  The quartet is comprised of the principal string players of the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra.

Father daughter dance to benefit child advocacy center

The fourth annual Father Daughter Dance - Mad Hatter’s Tea Party to benefit the Northeast Texas Child Advocacy Center (NETCAC) will be on Saturday, March 7 from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Winnsboro City Auditorium.
