Exhibits, programs open in November

The Franklin County Arts Alliance is collaborating for a variety of programs during November.
The production Hiding In Plain Sight will be presented at 6 p.m. Saturday, November 2.

Bigony honored by National Watercolor Society

Ron Bigony, an East Texas artist with ties to the local art community, was recently honored with the National Watercolor Society’s Signature status. Mr. Bigony’s work was carefully reviewed and closely examined by a jury of three and was determined to be of high quality.

September events for art center announced

The Franklin County Arts Alliance (FCAA) will sponsor two events at the Cultural Arts Center (CAC) during September. A new exhibit will open and the Reilly Springs Jamboree will perform.

Energy flowed from jazz

Hale Baskin to be featured at Mount Vernon Music Gala

Hale BaskinHot vocals and the sounds of the big band era will awaken old memories and create new ones at the Mount Vernon Music (MVM) Gala 2013. Hale Baskin and her Jazz Addiction band will be the featured performers for the Gala at 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 24.
