High school art, poetry reading attract varied crowd at center

Corbin Craver takes time to examine and admire each piece of artwork on display as a part of the Franklin County Art’s Alliance High School Art display. A varied crowd in both ages and taste was attracted to the second annual high school art show and poetry reading last week. Franklin County Arts Alliance board members were hosts for the event Thursday evening, May 2 at the Cultural Arts Center.
The crowd grew to around 65 to view a collection of more than 82 pieces of art and hear the poetry composed by 14 local youth. For more information, see the May 9 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald.
