Men of Courage Car Show planned

The second annual Men of Courage Car Show will be Saturday, April 12 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the parking lot at the First Baptist Church. The church is located at 310 S. Tour de Cypress plans 10th event

The 10th annual Tour de Cypress Ride and Run in Mount Vernon has been set for Saturday, April 19. The event is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Mount Vernon.

Democrats select state delegates

The Franklin County Democratic Party met Saturday, March 22 to select delegates to the Texas Democratic Party’s state convention. Those selected as delegates were Minnie Birdsong, Edward (Mike) Parnell, Ben Dickson and Libby Aden.

Computer classes to be offered at library
