Black History Month scholarship announced

In honor of Black History Month, Brookshire’s is introducing the “Because History Matters” scholarship program, which will provide tuition assistance to high school seniors planning to attend college in the fall.

Academic UIL at North Lamar

The Mount Vernon High School Academic UIL team competed Saturday, January 21 at an event at North Lamar High School. The Accounting team won first place, the Computer Science team was second overall.
