Three named to fall East Texas Baptist University Dean’s List

Mandatory broiler meeting called

A Mount Vernon - Saltillo Project Show meeting for broiler participants will be Monday, February. 3 at 6 p.m. in the Saltillo Ag Building or at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, February 4 in the Mount Vernon High School Ag Building.

NTCC offers free GED and ESL classes in Mount Vernon

The Adult Education Department at Northeast Texas Community College will offer free General Education Development (GED) and ESL (English as a Second Language) classes in Mount Vernon this spring.

Jim Laughton, a member of the communication and arts faculty at NorthWest Arkansas Community College, Bentonville, Ark., was recently honored with the John and Suanne Roueche Excellence Award.

Landon PriceLandon Price, a 2011 graduate of Mount Vernon High School, was named to the American Southwest Conference All Conference First Team in Cross Country for 2013 at East Texas Baptist University.
