The deadline for nominations for the May Yard of the Month and Rural Beauty Spot is noon Tuesday, May 26. Nominations can be made by calling the Franklin County Chamber of Commerce office at (903) 537-4365. The name, location, with directions and if possible, a phone number for the nominated home is required with the nomination. People can nominate their neighbor or themselves. New honorees will be recognized each month through August. Nominations must be received no later than the fourth Tuesday of the month for that month’s awards. Nominations are judged by members of the Franklin County Chamber of Commerce’s Beautification Committee.
