Several Mount Vernon High School art students recently participated in NTCC’s College Art Day. Students had the opportunity to take classes in drawing, painting, clay, wheel throwing and hand building, jewelry, collage, design, demonstration in scene making, character development exercises, and music classes.
Art students also submitted artwork to be judged for scholarship prizes. Carlos Levya received second place for his Charcoal Self Portrait.Tricia Rash placed third for her Charcoal Self Portrait.Kim Thomas was awarded Honorable Mention for her Acrylic Painting.
