The Franklin County Arts Alliance will open a new art exhibit with a reception from 6-8 p.m. tonight, Thursday, Sept. 9 at Cook Hall in the Cultural Arts Center.
More than 100 pieces, most lyin oil with a smaller number of  watercolors, are included in the  Plein Air in Venice exhibit. The exhibit will feature works of three local artists, Sandra St. John and two of her art students, Annette Rutherford and Anne Edwards.
