The second in a three week series of art and history banners is on display at the Franklin County Library, and the library staff is compiling a waiting list for those who want to participate in a “Basic Computer Training” course.
The two part course is scheduled for 6 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 25 and 26. Call the Franklin County Library at 903-537-4916. Individuals are encouraged to sign up for the class now.
“We already have the seven seats filled,” stated Librarian Lisa Lawrence. “However, some become available at the last minute, so, we are making a waiting list.”
Patrons of all ages are invited to stop in to view and enjoy an exhibit of oversized panels of photos, art and documents from Ellis Island. The Ellis Island display will be up through Saturday, Oct. 16. For more information, see the Oct. 14 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald.
