Mount Vernon Optic-Herald

The third annual season opening Music Gala at Mount Vernon Music netted the association $10,000 to help fund its coming season of monthly concerts and its outreach programs.
Just under 100 attended the concert provided by the Denton based group Brave Combo. Carl Finch, the band’s founder, kept the action moving both on stage and in the audience. The surprise addition of accordion player and vocalist Ginny Mac left the audience wanting more from this Latin lady.
Jeffery Barnes provided both musical and comical entertainment. Bass guitarist Jack Melody and drummer Alan Emert kept the beat going for everyone. For more information, see the September 1 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald.
