“Woodwinds – with Strings Attached” is the title of the concert to be presented at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, September 10.
The concert will be in the Mount Vernon Music Hall, 402 Leftwich St. at Yates St. in Mount Vernon.
Featured performers are oboist Rogene Russell, clarinetist Mary Druhan, violinists Mark Miller and Elizabeth Elsner, violist Ute Miller and cellist Karen Maddox Smith. Selected music to be performed includes Mozart’s oboe quartet, music for clarinet and strings by Kokai and Hindemith, and a piece famous for its melodies and elegant lyricism, the Rosamunde string quartet by Schubert.
