The Franklin County Chapter 3703 of the American Association of Retired Persons will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 28 at the Senior Citizens’ Center on Dallas St. Wesley Hooper, manager at the local Brookshire’s, will be the speaker at the event.
He will speak about the Relay for Life event for the American Cancer Society. This year, the event is scheduled for May 15-16 at Tiger Stadium and will begin at dusk and continue until dawn the next morning. M. P. Long will give the invocation, and he and his wife will be hostesses. All residents 55 and older, and their family and friends, are urged to attend the meeting.
