Sixty entries have been registered for the annual Mount Vernon / Saltillo Young Farmer Project Show. The event is this Saturday, March 27 at the Livestock Pavilion located on FM 115 in Mount Vernon.

The children and grandchildren of  Mack and Sue Hendrix of Mount Vernon are honoring the couple with a reception celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.

This year marks the 100th anniversary of the annual tea given by the Standard Club of Winnsboro to raise funds for the Gilbreath Library.

Members of the Rotary Club of Mount Vernon served as hosts for a group of seven Japanese exchange students and their Rotary team leader this past weekend.
