Christmasland open

The Alan Screws family has their “Christmasland - the North Pole of Texas” display for the 2009 holiday season open to the public again this year. This is the 13th year for the display, which offers train rides, hot chocolate and more than 90,000 lights in addition to an animated Santa’s Toy Shop, and paddle-boat elves.

AARP to meet, December meeting

The American Association of Retired Persons will have their December meeting and Christmas Carol singing at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 15 at the Senior Meal Center at 208 Taylor St., one block west of the Courthouse.
