The deadline for nominating a favorite home or business for their Christmas decorating efforts is 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 14. Nominations can be made by calling the Chamber office at 903-537-4365. Clear directions to the nominee’s location are needed.
A wreath loaded with more than 49 gift cards, coupons, and special offers being offered by the Friends of the Franklin County Library will be given away on Tuesday, Dec. 15. See the Dec. 10 edition of the Optic-Herald for more details.
The annual Winfield Christmas Parade is at 2 p.m Saturday, Dec. 12. The event is sponsored by the Winfield Volunteer Fire Department. Individuals are encouraged to participate or visit as a spectator for the event. For more information, see the Dec. 10 edition of the Optic-Herald.
