The Cypress Springs Lions Club will have their 27th Annual Turkey Shoot on Saturday, Nov. 14 and Nov. 21 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the intersection of FM 1448 and FM 115. A U.S. Army Honor Guard detail left Fort Hood the morning prior to the shooting incident that killed 13 and wounded 30. The detail spent the night locally to be ready to provide this military grave side service Friday, Nov. 6.
Halloween is over, Thanksgiving is around the corner, and planning for the annual Christmas festival has commenced. The date has been set for Saturday, Dec. 5 with the parade beginning at 5:30 p.m.Several events are being planned for the festival beyond the annual parade.
