The fourth annual Halloween Party at the Alamo Mission Museum is Saturday, Oct. 24. Although the main events will not get started until 6:30 p.m., those entering the costume contest are asked to register from 6-6:30 p.m. Activities will continue until around 9 p.m. See the Oct. 22 edition of the Optic-Herald for more information.

Robert Crowston was one of many students who took advantage of barrel bull riding at the annual Handicapable Rodeo at Duke Arena on Friday, Oct. 16.

Kids Under Construction participated in a Cystic Fibrosis Mini March in September. There were 61 participants from ages one to 11 years old.  The students raised a total of $518.50. 

The Collier’s Chapel Cemetery Association had their annual Homecoming lunch and business meeting on Saturday, Sept. 26. After serving 21 years, President Alva Ray Talley resigned during the meeting. Kenneth Talley was elected as the new president of the board.
