The fourth annual Halloween Party / Hayride at the Alamo Mission Museum is set for Saturday, Oct. 24. The party will begin at 6:30 p.m. and continue until 9 p.m. Included in the event will be games, a hay ride through the woods,

The quarterly Newcomers and Friends Coffee is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 13, from 2 to 3 p.m. at the Bankhead Highway Visitors Center (Thruston House).

John Stone, Mary Bolin, and Martin Bell competed in the Misster American Legion Pageant. The Sons of the American Legion raised $3,225 for Durrell Stevens at the benefit conducted at the American Legion Post 243 on Saturday, Oct. 3.
