Local gardeners interested in saving water, using fewer chemicals in their yards, and cutting down on back-breaking maintenance will have the opportunity to learn how on June 6. The newly formed Lake Country chapter of the Native Plant Society of Texas will conduct its kickoff meeting from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 6 at the Titus County AgriLIFE Extension Center, 1708 Industrial Road, Mount Pleasant.
