Diego Rivera will be the featured artist at the Franklin County Library Monday through Friday, July 6-10. The reproduction of the work in cloth will be up for viewing. One of the better known Mexican painters and muralists, he studied in Mexico before going to Europe in 1907. In Europe, he applied cubism to his work. The art is available for viewing during regular hours for the library from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, and 9 a.m. to noon Saturday. See the July 2 edition of the Optic-Herald for more information.
