Franklin County Extension Agent LouAnn Rollins presented a program about proper hand washing at the Lunches for Love event on Tuesday, Aug. 4 at the Methodist Church. Mrs. Rollins applied a lotion to each childs hand and allowed them to view their hands under an ultraviolet light to see where germs would normally be.
She explained proper washing techniques and allowed the children to practice the technique before vieweing their hands again to see if they removed all their germs. More than 35 children attended the lunch program on Tueday. It will continue until Friday, Aug. 21.
