Mount Vernon Optic-Herald

Joe Kolowajtis, a World War II Marine veteran, celebrated his 90th birthday with a party given to him by his friends in the Tall Tree Women’s Club. Lunch and birthday cake were served as a part of the celebration.   Mr. Kolowajtis was also suprised at the event with the presence of a Marine Corps representative from Mount  Pleasant.
