The top three winners of each division in the Annual CountryFest Stew Cook-Off  had a quart of their stew auctioned at the CountryFest stage. Toby Godfrey and Kesa Giles and Edna and Bruce Hunnicutt took top honors at the 25th annual CountryFest Stew Cook-Off Contest. The auction of the winning stews earned $1,375 for the sponsoring Franklin County Chamber of Commerce. For more details, see the Oct. 15 edition of the Optic-Herald.
