Mount Vernon Optic-Herald

The Old Saltillo Cemetery Association honored fallen veterans and those with unmarked graves at the annual dedication day.   The Hopkins County Military Coalition assisted with the dedication of a veterans marker. The program, coordinated by Gene White, began with the posting of the flags at the front of the church.  Bobby Goswick read the names of all the deceased veterans whose names were engraved on the monument. Members of the coalition led the procession from the church to the marker site where the ceremony continued. For more information see the Oct. 29 edition of the Optic-Herald.
