A benefit team roping event and auction is set for Karlee Jo Mears on Saturday, Dec. 5 at the Duke Arena on CR 3285 off Hwy. 37 in Mount Vernon. The child, age two, daughter of Cameron and GeriAnn Mears of Mount Vernon, was kicked by a horse earlier this year and is undergoing medical treatment.
