Mount Vernon Optic-Herald

The Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #956 in Mount Vernon earned $1,700 for their scholarship fund. The money was collected through donations at the benefit fish fry at the Masonic Lodge Hall Saturday, April 17. Becky Hightower was the winner of the painting given away in a drawing for participants at the fund raising event. Worthy Matron Gina Lowry and Worthy Matron Elect Dee Lowry presented the prize.
