Mount Vernon Optic-Herald

Benjamin R. Walker was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps March 26. He attended Officer Candidates School of the United States Marine Corps in Quantico, Virginia. Ben Walker is a 2002 graduate of Mount Vernon High School, and 2006 graduate of Rice University.  He joined the Marine Corps in 2007 and was serving in Hawaii as a Corporal when selected for Officer Candidates School.
