Volunteers needed at Alamo Mission

The Alamo Mission Museum is seeking assistance with some of their displays. The organization has a concrete Koi Pond that has a crack in it that needs repair. The pond will need to be completely drained, cleaned and patched to work successfully again. Two railroad box cars have been donated to the organization and need to be moved from Mount Pleasant to the Alamo site. The cars measure 40’x8’x9’ and a low trailer and crane will be needed to move them. The museum will pay for any permits needed to move the cars. Anyone interested in helping the group with these projects is asked to call Jacque Bateman at 903-588-2442 or e-mail This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
