Adjutant Frank Cardinal and Commander Charles O’Neal represented American Legion Post 243 in presenting a check for $1,000 to the Community Food Bank of Franklin County, represented by the organization’s president John Case. The funds are from proceeds of the post’s regularly conducted Bingo gaming, which are donated to various local nonprofit groups to support needed programs. Mr. Case noted that the food bank had seen an increase in the number of individuals served in the past month, and the funds will assist in keeping up with the need for food.
