The rain that fell in the two hours leading up to the fourth annual Turtle Derby at the Alamo Mission Museum on Saturday, July 10 did not dampen the spirit of the race competitors. The spectators, on the other hand, were pleased when the precipitation stopped just as the event began. A total of 26 competitors registered to race in the derby.
