Volunteers are needed in a variety of capacities for the annual Franklin County Handicapable Rodeo on Friday, Sept. 24 at the Duke Riding Arena on CR SE3285.
Each of the participants needs a buddy to see them through the activities of the day. From helping participants onto a trailer for a hayride to walking along side a horse being riden, from handing out hotdogs and drinks, to handing out gift bags, from holding someones hand while they run to helping an individual to do an activity, there is something for each volunteer to do. More than 600 participants are expected for this year’s eighth annual Handicapable Rodeo, according to Dale Crowston, president of the organization.
