Mount Vernon Optic-Herald

M.P. and Nolene Long and their family celebrated the 100th anniversary of their old home place on CR SE3285 on Saturday, Oct. 16. Approximately 80 family members and friends gathered to commemorate the occasion. The family farm was founded in 1856 and was honored as a Family Land Heritage Farm in 1975. The 900 square foot house was built in 1910. Throughout the years, a member of the Long family has continuously worked on the farm.
