Entries are being sought for the talent, crock pot stew and pumpkin baking contests at the Alamo Trade Day on Saturday, Nov. 7. The entry fee is $10 for either the stew cook off or the pumpkin bake off. There is no charge to enter the talent contest. See the Oct. 28 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald for more details.
