Laelah Lennox, daughter of Stephanie Godfrey of Mount Vernon, has been selected as a candidate in the Distinguished Youth of Texas Scholarship and Recognition Program Nov. 26-28 at the Marriott Rivercenter Hotel in San Antonio. During the weekend competition, two students will be chosen to receive a $1,000 United States Savings Bond and the right to serve as a State Program Titleholder for one year.
