Mount Vernon Optic-Herald

The First United Methodist Church of Mount Vernon has given a new meaning to giving a neighbor a helping hand. The FUMC’s Missions Outreach Group provided assistance to the Mt. Zion C.M.E. Church. Several wall studs and siding was replaced on the front of the church. The rest of the exterior was scraped, prepped and painted. Some repairs were made to the wheelchair ramp, a little electrical work was completed inside, and a few other minor repairs were made around the church.
