Mount Vernon Optic-Herald

The  local celebration of Our Lady of Guadalupe is scheduled for Sunday, Dec. 12. A procession with a trailer bearing an image of Our Lady of Guadalupe, said to be the mother of Jesus Christ, will begin in downtown. Participants will gather at the downtown plaza starting at 9 a.m. and begin the procession at 9:30 a.m. For more details about the march, see the Dec. 2 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald.
