Mount Vernon Optic-Herald

Harvest House Ministries and First Baptist Church of Mount Vernon are teaming up for the sixth year, to provide backpacks for 500 homeless men and women in Dallas as a part of the “Backpacks of Love” program. Since most homeless people have no decent way to carry their belongings around, the backpacks are practical gifts and are also filled with warm gloves, hats, socks, toiletries, and other essential items.
