Janet Houston and JoAnne Higgins, both members of the Franklin Consumer Science Club, made a Christmas donation of items to Adell Dishaw, mid-wife with the Women’s Clinic  in Mount Pleasant prior to the Christmas holiday. Each year the Consumer Science club donates, blankets, shawls, cosmetics, and clothing to the clinic and to the Terry Haven and Mission Manor Nursing Homes in Mount Vernon. The estimated value of the items donated in 2010 was $1,100.
