Heather Wiggins of Como and Daniel Winn of Sulphur Springs were honored for their volunteer work with the presentation of the District Award of Merit.
The two were recognized at the annual White Oak District, NeTseO (Northeast Texas Southeastern Oklahoma) Trails Council of Boy Scouts of America. The banquet was conducted in Mount Vernon Saturday, Feb. 19. For more information, see the Feb. 24 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald.
