Mount Vernon Optic-Herald

The annual Easter in the Park is Saturday, April 23, beginning at 9 a.m. at Don Meredith Stadium off Hwy. 37 South in Mount Vernon. The annual event will kick-off with the Easter Parade full of  miniature floats, bicycles, and wagons. Other games and activities will be provided throughout  the event for children of all ages. The annual sack race will be at 10 a.m. followed by the Easter Egg Hunt at 11 a.m. Over 3,000 eggs will be hidden for children to find.
