Mount Vernon Optic-Herald

The fourth annual Arbor Day celebration will be sponsored by members of the staff for the City of Mount Vernon. The event is set from 4-5 p.m. Friday, April 29 at Little Creek Park pavilion, located off Jackson St. Everyone is invited to join in the celebration. Mount Vernon Cub Scout Pack and Troop 271 will participate in the event. Attendees will help mark the city’s inclusion into the Tree City USA Program, through the National Arbor Day Foundation.
