The Piney Woods Wine Trails Festival and Mayfair fine arts event will combine for a weekend of fun in Mount Vernon Friday and Saturday, May 20 and 21.
Live entertainment, art contests, wine samples will be available in and around the downtown Mount Vernon area.
Mayfair Fine Arts
The Franklin County Arts Alliance will kick things off with the announcement of winners of their arts judging at 1 p.m. Friday at the Cultural Arts Center. Exhibits will remain open until 7 p.m. that evening.
Wine Festival
The number of vendors for the inaugural Piney Woods Wine Trails Festival, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., continues to grow. The focal points of the festival are the samples available from the 13 wine booths representing 16 of the Piney Woods Wine Trails Association member wineries.
Admission to the wine area, on the upper level of the plaza, is limited to those age 21 and over. Registered government identification must be shown.
