The deadline to register as a contestant in the 2011 Rodeo Queen contests is 7 p.m. Monday, June 27. The organizational meeting for those registered will be conducted at that time. No horses should be brought to this initial meeting.
The contest is sponsored by the Franklin County Sheriff’s Posse. The meeting and final contest entries will be accepted at the sponsor’s arena, located on FM 115 between the I-30 south access road and FM 21. See the June 23 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald for more details.
