Learn more about the native American Cherokee Indian tribe and its culture with Kathy Lynn and Joe Copeland.
Two Cherokee presentations will be conducted Thursday, July 14 at 2 and 7 p.m. The Franklin County Historical Association, Mount Vernon Music, the Franklin County Library, and Friends of the Library are joining together to present the Water Beetle Cherokee programs at no cost to the public.
The first program is directed at children as part of theĀ Franklin County Library Summer Enrichment program series. It will be at 2 p.m. in the Century Room across from the fountain in downtown. Contact the library staff with questions on this program.
The second presentation will be directed toward family groups and adults. It will be at 7 p.m. in the Mount Vernon Music Hall. The FCHA will provide refreshments for the event. See the July 14 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald for locations and details about the presentations.
